has developed a biomass and bioenergy definition and terminology
standard. The document, ANSI/ASABE S593 MAY2006, Terminology and
Definitions for Biomass Production, Harvesting and Collection, Storage,
Processing, Conversion and Utilization, is a landmark for ASABE's
activities in new standards in emerging technologies.

HOUSING STARTS RISE, BUT PERMITS DIP IN MAY

Total housing starts rebounded from a 13-month low to increase 5.0 percent in May as builders worked down a backlog of unfilled orders under unusually good weather conditions. Issuance of new building permits fell by 2.1 percent, continuing the moderate downslide from the peak last September.

Court Grants Permanent Injunction Against CA Fax Ban

Walsh Predicts Iron Ore Boom will Last Years

Mr Sam Walsh, CEO of iron ore business of Rio Tinto, predicted that the boom in the industry would continue for years citing continuing economic growth in China and restrictions on supply. Mr Walsh said that, while all commodity markets were cyclical, the inevitable downturn in iron ore was a long way off. Mr Walsh said "The market remains strong. Our stocks are near minimum levels. We're pulling everything through as quickly as we can."
